Christmas 2013

We spent Christmas in Boise this year.  I had the entire week of Christmas off work and I have to say it was awesome to be able to stay home with my girls.  We did a lot of Christmas crafts such as making cinnamon ornaments, marshmallow snowman, glitter pine cones and of course cookies for Santa.  We had so much fun!

On Christmas morning, Brooklyn was up first around 7:30 am. It wasn't long before Isla woke up to the sound of Brooklyn squealing with excitement.  Rene, Kyle and the kids showed up shortly after with their Santa loot and the present opening began!  It was too much fun.  Mema and Mepa skyped with us to share in the main event.  All four kids were so excited to see what Santa brought.  Brooklyn asked Santa for (in her words) "pretend baby bottles one with juice and one with milk." Isla asked for a baby stroller.  It turned out that Santa brought Brooklyn and Isla both baby strollers and baby bottles.  Santa sure is generous.

After presents were done, the kids watched movies and played with all their new toys pretty much up until it was dinner time.  Rene and I split up the dinner menu and met back up at our house for Christmas dinner.  Since it was also Owen's 3rd birthday...Owen got to eat dinner on the special red plate. We also had a special birthday dessert, root beer floats!  Rene had Owen's party the following day, pizza, bowling, a treasure hunt and a super cute dinosaur cake!
